Hi Susan, there's some truth to what you say. However, if you read the entire middle section of the notes above, you'll see I point out that this is an unreliable food and shouldn't be eaten often. As I get deeper into this way of life, I find I eat less and less of these kind of things, but I've done it through reading, cooking, and listening to my body. I honestly may never have started on this path in the first place, without products like Dreamfield's. It led me to believe that I could eat pasta and lose weight (which I did!), but now that I'm closer to goal, I find the pasta no longer works for me. Again, I can't escape the fact that I may not have even started this way of eating without these products. Atkin's bars included! I ate a lot of them, in the beginning. At this point, it's been years. My hope and believe is the seasoned and opinionated low-carbers know what to eat and what not to eat, but the beginners can and probably will benefit from products like this ... Just my thoughts. Thanks for your input!

Hi, great recipes....However isn't that a bit against all we (low-carbers) believe? I mean to use all these substitutes of high-carb foods. I believe going low-carb has a deeper meaning, not using so many "low-carb" products of who knows what origin. I recommend that you check some of the videos with Gary Taubes and others (dr. Lustig, etc.). He says these products are a fraud and they actually contain a lot more net carbs than they claim. It's like these Atkins bars sweetened by Maltitol and other sugar alcohols that affect blood sugar.
