BUT! ... I consider this to be a small appetizer. Just don't eat too much! Being an appetizer, the portions are small and the pineapple is tiny. Portion control is built into the dish. It's just enough to satisfy any sweet tropical cravings that you may have been having, without much of an impact on your blood sugars.
This is a sweet grilled beef and teriyaki skewer, where the teriyaki is sugar free, but the pineapple's natural fruit sugars can get a NICE rich charring for that deep glazy caramelized flavor.
